Logeye 900 Stereo is a log scanning solution that ensures log scanning in the transverse movement of the log. The solution is used in sled band saws when the log is rolling from the feed table to the band saw carriage. During the short rolling distance, a 360* 3D image of the log is obtained.
The scanner software then offers the band saw the optimal starting position of the log on the carriage, the optimal starting cut (or milling) position and the optimal cutting plan. The cutting plan is optimized continuously during operation. The saw line operator has the opportunity to intervene in the operation of the automatic system and make his own corrections if necessary. As an option, it is possible to purchase a single or double-sided camera to check the ends of the log and detect possible color changes/the presence of rot.
Logeye 900 Stereo ensures better material output and higher saw line operating speed.
The Logeye 900 Stereo log scanner has also been used in the plywood industry for precise log positioning in a veneer lathe.
