Roundlog lenght cutting (bucking) optimization software Interopt
Interopt is a special software that optimizes the length cutting of round logs.
Input data for optimization is obtained from the longitudinal scanning of logs from Microtec log scanners Logeye or CT Log.
The Interopt software is found on log sorting lines or for sawline intake.
In Central Europe, the USA, and Canada, where long roundlogs (trunk logs) are still brought from the forest, the length cutting of logs takes place on the territory of the sawmill.
It is more important to use the best yield and the final price ratio of the product when length cutting.
In Europe, Interop is used by softwood optimizing on log sorting lines and in the case of hardwood, often before the sawmill.
Interopt takes into account the curvature, taper, dimensions of the log and the raw data of the product going into production in real time. This way, the final length of the log with the best output and price ratio for production at a given time is found.
Interopt is typically used with Microtec’s Winlog software, which controls the operation of the sorting line and saw line in real time.
