The German company Reinhardt is credited with inventing the push-cut type cross-cut saw.
The company is still producing push-type cutting saws today.

Reinhardt is part of the Paul Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG group, most of whose factories are located in the Dürmentingen region in Germany.
